PATRICIA A. CLEARY HONORED AS A VIP FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS BY STRATHMORE’S WHO’S WHO WORLDWIDE PUBLICATION
FARMINGDALE, NEW YORK, JULY 8, 2016. Patricia A. Cleary of Arlington, Virginia has been honored as a VIP for two consecutive years, 2015 and 2016, by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide Edition for her outstanding achievements and success in the field of education.
ABOUT PATRICIA A. CLEARY
Ms. Cleary has 50 years experience in the education field. She is a Lead Research Scientist at The George Washington University. She serves as the Co-Director of the Coordinating Center for the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial and The Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications and Principal Investigator of the Data Coordinating Center for the Optic Neuritis Treatment Trial, SCOUT, Uro-EDIC II, Biomarkers for Type 1 Diabetes Complications, Lipoproteins, Biomarkers-MUSC and Epigenetics. Ms. Cleary has over 40 years of experience as a biostatistician in NIH sponsored cooperative studies. She has authored over 50 papers. She is affiliated with the American Diabetes Association and is a Fellow with the Society of Clinical Trials. Previously, Ms. Cleary was a Co-Director of the coordinating center for the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial under sponsorship of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and the Principal Investigator of the data coordinating center for the Optic Neuritis Treatment Trial funded by the National Eye Institute. She was principal investigator for Genetics Of Kidneys In Diabetes, funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. She was the director of the Methodological and Biostatistical Coordinating Center for the rhIGF-1 Genentech Epidemiological Project. Previous to joining the Biostatistics Center in 1977, she served as the coordinator for the data center for the National Institute of Mental Health pioneer program, the Early Clinical Drug Evaluation Unit. Ms. Cleary also served as the statistical consultant to The George Washington University Department of Medicine.
Ms. Cleary obtained a M.S. in Statistics from The George Washington University in 1967. In her spare time she enjoys travel and windsurfing.
